Sifar Theatre makes a comeback on town’s theatre circuit with ‘Virtually Flawless’ at Rangbhoomi Areas
Journey and a Theatre in Schooling (TIE) diploma from the Nationwide Faculty of Drama had saved actor-director and founding father of Sifar theatre group Feroze MNA away from the stage for 3 years. Now the actor-director of Sifar Theatre is ready to interrupt the sabbatical with the staging of Virtually Flawless on June 5.
A 70-minute black comedy in English, Urdu and Hindi, Virtually Flawless has to date had eight exhibits in Hyderabad, Thrissur, Kochi and Bengaluru. It was final staged in Hyderabad in 2019.
Chandra Singh Shekhawat and Feroze play the roles of, respectively, an aspiring actor and a Muslim poet whose life turns the other way up. “The actor needs peace and the poet seeks rights; the duo is in the hunt for Charlize Goblin who guarantees them ‘sukoon shehar and haq nagari’. The wait and search proceed,” says Feroze.

Written and directed by Feroze, the devised manufacturing is structured as absurd theatre and is predicated on true incidents. “The darkish comedy has an vital undertone,” he provides. Whereas Sowmya Ok handles the set design, lighting and sound is by Ajay Yadav.
Glad to return to the theatre circuit, Feroze says, “We had been all away doing various things however due to the pandemic, we returned dwelling.” With Sifar’s theatre workshop set to start in June, the group is giving form to its theatre plans.
